Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology is a proven way of confirming vehicle identification. It is also a useful tool in enabling Ticketless Parking.   • Easing the flow: Ticketless Parking speeds up the entry and exit of customers into and out of a car park while still retaining the benefits of a barriered site. Payments can be made at the exit, or via dedicated pay stations by entering the licence plate number on an easy-to-use touch screen.
  • Highest read rates: WPS uses the very latest camera technologies which can offer read rates of 99% or higher. The latest cameras also use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ‘learn’ and further improve their performance over time. Misread data is gathered, analysed, and used to improve the algorithms employed to deliver even greater reliability and performance. 
  • Exceptions planning: WPS has designed various failover scenarios to keep the customer happy and the traffic flowing. Partial plate recognition, either by camera or a mistake by the customer in entering their details, is handled by using advanced ‘fuzzy matching’. This technology allows a plate to be recognised even if they are different by one or two characters. 
  • Paperless options: With Ticketless Parking solution, card-only pay stations and digital receipts are an option, thereby removing the need for paper. This not only helps the environment, but also lowers your total cost of ownership and ongoing labour and product costs.
